I miss the rains down in Africa

Ah, Toto, that's such a good song!

Hey Everyone, happy weekend. :]

I'm going share something with you today.

I'm going to share Gerard Butler.

Well, a movie you need to see that has Gerard Butler in it.

I don't have actual access to Gerard Butler.

I'm sorry.

But I did see a movie last night and it was pretty awesome.

Yes, that says Machine Gun Preacher. You read it right. But don't write it off just yet. This is pretty amazing.
It's a feel good movie with machine guns. So you can feel good and your husband/boyfriend can be like "oh yea, machine guns" So go now to your local Redbox.

Oh, the hubs...

My husband and I have been married one year. Well it'll be one year on Sunday.
We both hate surprises, so I gave him his gift on Sunday (see monday's post) and I told him
since we are broke he had a 7 dollar limit. Cause that's what I spent on his, so today he comes to my work and surprises me with.........

Yes, that's a plant. I don't what it is. It's just labeled "Tropical Plant". very mysterious.
He gave it to me with that adorable sweet and hopeful look, and all I could think was "a plant? he doesn't know me at all! we've been married for a year!" and then he gave me a card. A card in which he quoted one of my favorite Elton John songs, and I realized he knew me. I just got a raise at work, and a permanent desk. I know the plant was his way of saying, you've made it! your all professional now! you can have an office plant!  I love it. I'm so incredibly lucky. Oh you little mysterious plant, you won me over.

Oh How Pinteresting!

Happy Wednesday morning everyone! I'm up early, sipping coffee and watching the news, and ready to share some pins with you!

                                                                       source indulgy.com

I love this color! I'm too pale for red tones, so pink lipsticks are what I usually go for.

                                                                   source projectnursery.com
I'm not pregnant, nor do I plan to be in the near future, but I love browsing nursery ideas on Pinterest, and this is one of my faves right now. It could work for a boy or girl, I think thats why I like it.

After seeing this on Pinterest, I really wanna host a Jaws themed movie night. My husband and I have watched it together 10+ times...no, I'm not exaggerating.

I post alot of travel photos, because hey a girl can dream right? This is a church in St. Petersburg, Russia and it's breathtaking!

Blue is keeping very calm right now, sleeping in my lap. :]

Join me next Wednesday for more pins!

To Johnny.

10 Things I Love About My Husband.

             1.  Your crooked smile is the most adorable thing I've ever seen.

             2. You give the best hugs. I feel like you really hold me when you hug, it's not just a gesture. We are the perfect heights to hold each other because my head is level to rest on your shoulder.

             3. You wear the hell out of a Polo shirt, and some RayBans.

             4. I love how excited you get about things. You never let anyone tear down your dreams.

             5. You bring out the fun side in me. The confident side. You bring out the best in me. And I hope I do the same for you.

             6. You understand me. You get my jokes.

             7. You are so FUNNY! I laugh more than I've ever laughed in my life when I'm with you. That's good. They say laughing is good for the soul. My soul must be the happiest and healthiest soul in the world.

             8. You smell amazing. All the time.

             9. You're such a wonderful person and you don't even know it.

           10. I'm so proud of you it's overwhelming. You've overcome a lot, and you did it on your own. Do you know who strong you are? How many people who have tried to do what you did, with help, and have failed? I don't tell you this enough, but I should tell you everyday.

Photo Fun Mondays.

So this weekend was actually pretty exciting for once.

My parents subdivision Countrywood has this HUGE ASS community yard sale. And I mean huge, this ain't your mamma's yard sale. This is like 60 yard sales, food vendors and people coming from all over to shop. We did ours on Friday and J and I made $200 to help with bills and such. Right, *cough* bills.

Saturday started out lazy just cuddling with Blue.

Then I went to work, and blah blah blah....worked all day.
J picked me up and we went to a bonfire where I had my first ever smore!

And then we went a to a club (my first club ever!) with our couple friend Daniel and Cecily, where J got up on the pole (seriously, I love my confident husband!) and showed us all how it's done.

Sunday morning I fell down the stairs. Yea, you read that right. Well more like slid down them on my ass.
I was walking normally, had nothing in my hands to unbalance me. Just managed to do it.
This picture makes it looks small, but it's the size of a tennis ball and hurts like hell when I sit.
And while at work, I finished J's gift for our one year wedding anniversary, which is on 9/30.
It's for us to put our tickets in, from movies, trips, and outings really. He mentioned that he'd like to save our tickets in a cool way a few months back..he didn't think I remembered...but I did. I got the shadowbox at Michaels, the scrapbooking paper and supplies at Archivers and it only cost me 7 bucks to do the whole thing. I'm not kidding, shiz was cheap. I gave it to him early and he LOVED it! I stuck with the                  whole "paper" them for our one year, but with a twist.

That is all they really want.

It's morning, and instead of sleepin' in late, I'm up watching this movie here.
It's just the right amount 80's tackiness and I love it. I think I've seen it 3 times. Maybe more.

Pops of Color.

Yesterday, I felt like dressing a little more colorful than usual.

Hubby: Hey baby did you paint your nails?
                Me: Yes, I did.
Hubby: I like it. That's a sexy color. And those are sexy nails.
                Me: Yeaaaaa, they are.

Muffin but my love for you.

Made the hubby some "Stud Muffins" last night.
They burn't a 'lil, but he still loved it.

Win with K-Mart Layaway!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kmart for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Kmart_Logo_B&W.jpg (3 documents, 3 total pages)I don't know about you, but my husband and I love layaway. It's such a great option to get the item you want but with payments and timing that's more convienent for you. I can't tell you how many items I wish I had put on layaway at Target. I always see something I want and when I go back with the money, they no longer have it.

K-Mart always advertises their free layaway option around Christmas time. Have you seen the recent commercial for it? The one where the lady proclaims herself as the Queen of Layaway? I love it!

I wish we had a K-Mart near us. Not only do they offer holiday layaway, but they are also haveing  Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway.  Every week, one customer at each store will have his or her remaining layaway balance paid off!

That right there make K-Mart the perfect place to get your holiday gifts! Just look at it compared to other store's layways.

Kmart Free Layaway Grid 09_12.jpg

How exciting is that?!

I have so many things I've seen on the K-Mart website that I would put on layaway!

Like this vacuum. We really need a new one, but the money's not all there yet for it.

I also like this hairdryer. I need a really nice one and this one is perfect!

So check out K-Mart layway and you could win big today!

Ready for my Fall favorites!

Monday nights this Fall are awesome already!

Switched at Birth had it's third episode of the season, and it was great. Angelo is living in the guest house, and it seems like his presence is felt and he's getting in the way. I feel bad for him. Daphne has a crush on her boss who seems WAY too old for her, plus I think he slept with Emmett's mom...uh-oh. Bay meanwhile is still tagging and seems like this season is leading up to her getting in trouble for it. It wasn't the
most eventful episode but I enjoyed it!

Then at 9, a new show premiered and hubby and I sat down to watch it together. It's called Revolution. It was so good. And Johnny enjoyed it too! Basically it's about the earth losing all it's electricity, and noone knows why it suddenly shut off. Flash forward 15 years later, and the story revolves around a widower with a teenage son and daughter, and a very cool British girlfriend. A lot of stuff goes down and the man gets killed, the son gets captured by "militia" and the daughter, and his girlfriend go out in search of his brother, the girl's uncle who she feels could help them. I'm so excited about this one! Can't wait until next Monday.

It's OK.

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK that it' raining right now because I'm cuddled on the couch with the Hubs watching Property Virgins.

It's OK that Blue isn't fully house-trained yet, I love him and forgive him for pooping in the house yesterday.

It's OK that I had to stay an hour and a half later at work yesterday. I made a TON in commission, and we need the money right now.

It's OK to go a little crazy and eat half a strawberry cheesecake...It is OK right?

It's OK to be inspired by Michael Jackson's wardrobe....I just bought a sheer black button down with a sequined collar, and I can't wait to wear it ALL fall!

It's OK to be silly and dance in the car..in back to back traffic.

Pinterested.

So here's another Pinterest attempt I'm embarking on...

I'm no where near finished with this one, I really haven't even started. I just want to share with
you guys the beginning stages of this project.

I'm not a crafty girl. My sister and my mom got bit by the craft bug, and by the time it got to me it had had enough. Now I love crafts don't get me wrong. I'm just not that good at them. The craft bug left when I was born and the lazy bug decided to step in and bite me.

When I do attempt things on Pinterest it's usually recipes. Because nothing cures my laziness more than knowing that food awaits me if I finish a task.

But enough of that, I'm starting to ramble.

My husband and I have been married for a year, well it will be a year in September 30th.
Since the theme for one year of marriage is paper, and I want to celebrate the many adventures we've had and will have together, I came up with the perfect gift.

I've seen this floating around Pinterest for a while and I thought it was perfect for me to make for J.

I can't wait to work on it, I've already started collecting tickets.

Never too old to play games.

Whoever said games were just for kids has obviously somehow lost all concept of fun as they entered adulthood. My husband and I love to play games! We have fun whether it's just the two of us or with friends or family.

So if you're looking to have a little bit of fun to spruce up a date night a little bit here are my top 3 games to play.

1. Imagine Iff

This is one SO much fun to play with a bunch of friends. It requires 3-8 players so having a get-together with this one is a must.

2. Apples 2 Apples

Another fun party game, this one is all about comparisons! It's truly awesome and brings out a bunch of laughs.

3. This last one isn't a board game, instead it's an activity that requires you to get off your bums and get out of the house... BOWLING! That's right, my husband and I love to go bowling. We get so competitive and it's fun!

I can really pull off a pair of bowling shoes..I mean look at me?! :]

And there you have it, my top 3. Of course you don't have to go buy a fancy new board game, pulling a dusty game of Monopoly or Sorry of the shelves could be a great way to be competitive and bring you back to your youth.
